Gifts for Grads / Christian graduation gifts – more than a gift card

May is a double graduation month for our family. Our oldest son is graduating from Appalachian State University and our youngest will receive his high school diploma a couple weeks later. So we’re having a double graduation party (and no, it’s not because we’re cheap – just wise stewards, right?) That means many of our friends and family who come for the party will likely bring two gifts. Sometimes it’s tough finding even one perfect gift for a grad! It seems that the popular gift these days, especially for youth, is a gift card. Let them get what they want, right? That makes sense.

While we have personally gone that route, we also want to give graduates something that will point them to the strength behind their accomplishment – Jesus Christ. We’d like gifts that encourage them in their faith and also leave them with a passage (or more) from the Bible. Besides, or along with, a gift card we like to give a graduation gift they can use and that might even bless their Christian faith in the future.
